CMM/ARM VERIFICATION FIELD ENGINEER

Torus Measurement Systems is recruiting a CMM/ARM Verification Field Engineer to join the existing team working within the UK and occasionally Ireland.

The CMM/ARM Verification Field Engineer will be responsible for undertaking various UKAS 17025 accredited in accordance with Company UKAS procedures.

The post will require a flexible approach to working hours and time may be spent away from home. In addition to a significant amount of travel within the UK and occasionally Ireland.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • In the first instance, after full training, you will be responsible for performing UKAS verification of Romer, Faro and Nikon Articulated Arms at the customer site and occasionally within our UKAS accredited Laboratory
  • Accurately recording results
  • Provide technical support to colleagues on request in line with capability after training
  • Comply with company H&S guidelines
  • The business also supports UKAS verification of customer Complex Height Gauges from various manufacturers
  • Going forward the role would include the service and UKAS verification of a variety of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)

 

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Previous experience in Metrology preferred
  • Have completed a relevant mechanical/quality engineering apprenticeship
  • UKAS/ISO 17025 standards preferred
  • Must have good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must be PC Literate in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Comfortable in a customer facing role
  • The ability to work on your own initiative to Company procedures and be willing to go the extra mile to satisfy our Customers
  • Mechanical engineering background preferred
