Torus Measurement Systems Ltd are recruiting a fulltime Material Controller to join its existing stores team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Confirm the correct items, quantities, and quantity to purchase orders and supplier delivery notes.
- Book in all items to stock via the Sage 200 Manufacturing system.
- Locate Goods in the Stores in designated locations.
- Correspond with suppliers as required.
Stock Control
- Manage physical stock in the dedicated stores area.
- Kit / Marshall sets of parts, spare parts ensuring that production requirements are monitored and met.
- Update Marshalling status on the Company Information Management System.
- Make and record stock adjustments and movements in.
- Assign new stock and code locations.
- Monitor and manage kan-ban stock replenishments.
- Monitor stock overflow.
- Involvement with Quality Audits related to the stores.
- Manage and monitor the stores area for good housekeeping and H&S conformity.
- Supplier Liaison as required i.e. to correct delivery errors
- Carry Regular Stock Takes to ensure accuracy of stock
Goods Outwards
- Assist with packing of spare parts and equipment ready for shipping.
- Provide occasional support to the Logistics department at times of heavy workload.
You will be expected to work within the Companies Systems and policies at all times including in house Health & Safety, and ISO9001:2015 procedures.
The successfully appointed Assistant Material and Logistics Coordinator will have the following skills and abilities:
- Previous experience working within a Stores / Logistics department.
- Experience working in an agile, fast-paced, environment with the ability to lead and adapt in a changing business environment.
- Experience in using Sage, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication Skills – verbal and written
Candidates with limited experience, able to demonstrate IT competence and willingness to learn and develop into the role will also be considered, starting in the role as a trainee.
